INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM – AG WAREHOUSE

A 50 year old agricultural product manufacturing company was in need of a better way to manage their campus-wide inventory of palleted dry raw materials and finished goods, as well as similar bulked tanked materials.   They wanted to be able to track inventory by lot number and location in real time using industry standard barcode scanning hardware and software.  Their internet search failed to find an appropriate solution that met all their needs.  They partnered with Nobious to develop a custom solution that did exactly what they needed within the price point they had budgeted.  Their new Nobious built system now tracks everything coming into or going out of their 35 building campus, including inventory moved on container trucks, tank trucks and rail cars.  The new system also tracks many compliance processes such as tank trailer seals, chemical product compatibility, trailer inspection processes and more.  Now the client know where everything is within any building on campus as any time.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM – AG MANUFACTURING

A 50 year old agricultural product manufacturing company was in need of a better way to track the consumption of raw materials going into their manufacturing processes as well as the production of finished goods coming off of the line.  They wanted this process to be streamlined and managed primarily through the use of mobile handheld computers equipped with infrared barcode scanning capabilities.  Nothing on the market seemed to directly address their business needs without significant customization.  They partnered with Nobious for a custom built solution.  The Nobious team worked with their manufacturing team to fully understand their existing processes and then design a solution optimized for that process.  All aspects of manufacturing inventory tracking were considered, including recipes for the addition of ingredients, quality control features, scanning of inventory to a batch, lot management, scanning of new finished product to inventory, as well as metrics tracking and reporting.
